AI Accountability Framework
The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) has released its AI Accountability Framework, the third product out of their AI Futures Initiative. Their risk-based Framework represents the consensus set of practices that actors across the tech ecosystem believe are critical to advancing responsible AI development and deployment and reinforces the notion that responsibility for AI risk management is shared across the value chain by three key groups — developers, deployers, and integrators. Their objective in developing the Framework was to help answer policymaker questions about obligations, accountability, and roles and responsibilities in the value chain and we’re confident that it will be useful in informing ongoing global conversations around AI Governance.
